Lubricating grease should be applied to fifth wheel prior initial use and re-applied every 5,000km. Make sure fifth wheel is free of debris when applying grease, and it's strongly suggested that high quality heavy load grease is selected to provide the best abrasiveness and durability.
Use the correct procedure when operating and do not pull out the lever too frequent, which may result in the locking mechanism becoming too stiff and significantly increasing fraction and wear and tear.
When connecting flatbed trailer to fifth wheel, the distance between the two is critical. General speaking, the distance between bottom surface of trailer's connecting panel and upper surface of fifth wheel is suggested within 50mm.
